Who We Are
Here at PNW Unicorn Therapy, we know that sometimes all it takes to change someone's life is a little support.

Founder, Danielle Todd is a mom, animal activist and nature enthusiast who has a passion for making a positive impact on youth as well as those in need of some extra compassion in our community.
Danielle has a background in early childhood education, medical assisting, animal rescue and training. She has always had a passion for philanthropy as well as for horses and after experiencing the benefits of Equine Assisted Therapy herself, she knew that this was something she needed to share with her community.
Our first therapy horse is Dewdrop (or "Dewy"). Danielle's two daughters love to dress him up as a unicorn, thus came the name of our non-profit; Unicorn Therapy.

Our therapy horses works closely with hospitals, schools, care takers and mental health professionals throughout the Portland metro area to provide equine assisted therapy, equine assisted learning and equine assisted activity (EAT/EAL/EAA) to those who need it most. Whether it's a patient at a children’s hospital, a resident in an assisted living facility or bringing joy and new learning opportunities to students during a stressful time, our animals bring hope and healing. Studies have shown that equine assisted therapy improves physical and mental health, reduces blood pressure, reduces stress, reduces anxiety, promotes conversation, improves self esteem, increases emotional stability and helps build trust and empathy.
Unicorn Therapy strives to bring a little extra magic to therapy sessions and is happy to help grant particular requests/wishes. Please contact us to discuss customizing your experience.
"Believe in your heart that you're meant to live a life full of passion, purpose, magic and miracles."
